Will I have to share a room?

No during the academic year all of our rooms are single occupancy.

What do I have to bring with me?

For long term residents - You need to supply all bedding, bed linen, towels, crockery, cutlery and cookware.

For short term bookings - We will supply you with bedding, bed linen, crockery (dishes), cutlery and cookware but you will still need to bring your own towels.

How far are we from the uni bus and how long does it take to get to the Talbot campus?

A 7 minute walk to the bus stop and the bus takes approximately 10 minutes but allow longer at rush hour periods.

Is there parking available?

Yes but you will need to apply to the NCP for their tariff. There is very little free on-road parking in Bournemouth.

Will I need a TV licence?

Yes. Only if you have your own TV or watch TV on your computer. Otherwise no.

Is there a TV aerial socket in the room?

No, you will need an internal aerial.

Is the buiding secure?

Yes, we have CCTV and have staff available 24/7.

Are there any other bills?

Only electricity which is purchased by way of cards from reception.

How much do the laundry machines cost?

The washing machines cost £2.00 - £3.00 per load and the tumbles dries cost 50p per cycle.

Is it mainly freshers?

We have about 80% freshers, the remaining is made up of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students staying on with us and some doing a masters.

Do I have to clear my room for the holidays?

No, we operate an 8 month lease and you can safely leave your things in the rooms if and when you go home.

Do you provide contents insurance?

No, you will need to provide your own many of our students use www.endsleigh.co.uk or www.cover4insurance.com
